Sustainability
At Mannok, we are committed to operating in a sustainable manner, and reducing the impact our operations have on the environment wherever possible. Our ongoing research and development programmes include dedicated environmental activities, which are focused on improving the sustainability of our processes, and our products.
Through our dedicated innovation specialists, and investment in cutting edge technology, we have developed packaging products which use the maximum levels of recycled raw materials, without compromising on the quality of the finished product.
Working with our machinery partners, SML, we have integrated patented Vacurema recycling system from EREMA into our PET sheet extrusion lines. This allows us to recycle non-food grade materials directly within our production lines, resulting in RPET products with a high recycled content.
The packaging products we produce are all recyclable, ensuring the drive towards sustainability goes beyond our internal operations.
Our commitment encompasses more than our products and our manufacturing processes, as we aim to involve every person in our company in our drive to reduce the impact we have on the environment. Through promoting awareness, and encouraging our people to continually reduce waste and save energy, each area of our business has adopted policies and procedures which support our commitment.
This includes greater efficiency in our heating and lighting systems, recycling materials across the company, measures to reduce waste, and the use of recycled or renewable materials where possible. The changes we have implemented in every area of the company ensures our organisation works as a whole to operate in a more eco-friendly manner.
ISO 14001 Certification
We hold ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management system, which means our systems are independently audited and certified. This globally recognised scheme ensures we adhere to environmental standards which focus on both the long and short term impact of our products, services and processes.
Our ISO 14001 certification ensures we comply with relevant environmental legislation, develop our business in a sustainable manner, and minimise our environmental footprint through operational improvements.

Repak Certification
We are certified by Repak to ensure we comply with European waste management legislation for packaging suppliers and producers. The scheme is designed to ensure the collective funding of recovery and recycling of packaging, further reducing the environmental impact of our products.
European standards are moving towards a closed loop process, where waste is eliminated, and the Circular Economy boosts global competitiveness, fosters sustainable economic growth and generates new jobs.
In order to achieve this closed loop, our Repak membership ensures our packaging products are reused and recycled, and we support economic growth and jobs.
